GTA 5 Online PC, Xbox One, PS4 Update - Pre-Orders Slowing Down

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto V for PC, Xbox One and PS4 have recently been slowing down. According to several reports, analysts of research firm Cowen and Company say that pre-orders for the game on next-gen consoles does not match what was expected.

According to the firm, the new game GTA V would sell about $10 Million worth of copies, but according to recent reports, gamers did not see the upgrade as a necessity, hence, the decreasing pre-order sales. The firm evaluated the decrease of the pre-orders, but did not provide any reason for the evident decline.

Some reports claim that there is not much of a difference in terms of alterations to the game from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. For $60, fans might not see worth in the next-gen consoles' refined graphics.

Rockstar, which released the game at the recent E3 conference, failed to encourage discounts for gamers that would purchase the game for next-gen systems. This leaves PC gamers as the primary source for consumers of the new version of the game, being that PC oriented gamers have not been able to play the game until now.

Although there are already several confirmed pre-orders, reports say that it may not hit the expected target range. It may still improve, the impression so far sets the game on a decline, but this is only based on the pre-orders.

The game is still expected to outsell other big titles like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Battlefield Hardline and Sunset Overdrive. The next generation sales are still expected to have the big Fall launch for Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive. Cowen and Company believes the games are in "soft sales" because of the overabundance games currently being released.
