Grooters & Beal Band’s ‘Thanksgiving Christmas Live’ Capture Sprit Of Popular Holiday Concerts

Grooters & Beal Band's Thanksgiving Christmas Live bowed this week on iTunes and will be available at select retail outlets later this month. Best-known for their long-running Christmas concert events, "Rock Vespers," Grooters & Beal is joined for the first time by a full band, marking the duo's eighth career recording.

Featuring 13 selections, highlights of Thanksgiving Christmas Live include "Joyful, Joyful," as well as "Behold the Savior King," "Little Drummer Boy," "What is it About Christmas?" "Hear the Bells," "Joseph's Lament" and "Just What I Always Wanted," among others. The album's debut single, "Joyful, Joyful"-a longtime fan favorite- is being serviced to Christian radio formats this holiday season.

"The band has maintained strong friendships and creative cohesion over the years," said founding member John Grooters. "We wanted to see how some of our Christmas songs have matured and evolved over time. The result was a three-night show in 2011 called 'Rock Vespers - Storytellers Edition.' The recordings that came out of those three shows became Thanksgiving Christmas Live, and I think it's some of our best work to date."

Grooters & Beal has shared their music around the world for more than two decades. Founded by John Grooters (guitar/vocals) and Dwight Beal (keys/vocals), the Holland, Michigan-based group also features Dan Maat (bass), Danny Reyes (drums), and Pam Van Putten (vocals). Grooters & Beal's previous Christmas recordings include Behold the Savior King, What Child is This? and Rock Vespers Captured.
