Tonight's all new episode of ABC hit medical drama "Greay's Anatomy" promises to be an exciting one. This episode will focus on Dr. Richard Webber, but not in an entirely positive fashion. For spoilers from the actor who plays Dr. Richard Webber, read on.

James Pickens Jr, who plays Richard on the show recently spoke to TV Guide in an interview where he revealed a bit of what is to come in tonight's episode. Apparently there is some confusion as to whether or not the hospital wants Richard to retire.

"He thinks he's being forced into retirement. He's given what he thinks are hints about retiring, and he's feeling a little shaky about that," the actor said.

And this is a problem because Richard is not ready to retire, as Pickens explained.

"He still thinks he's very vital and has a lot to offer experience-wise and as a fine surgeon. He loves to teach and help guide these new residents through these murky waters as physicians, but also as people. It's more than just being a good doctor, it's also learning how to deal with people and understand that folks have feelings," he said.

He went on to describe Richard's character as someone who is not forced into things, like retirement, easily.

"Any time a man is faced with a change like that in their life, there's always going to be some resistance to change. Richard is no different than anyone else. He's not happy with it. He still has something to offer," the actor said.
