The Great Gatsby: Release Date 2013, Details, Leonardo DiCaprio & New Movie Trailer (VIDEO)
'The Great Gatsby' new movie based on the famous book releases next Friday, May 10th.
Get ready to re-live the roaring '20s vicariously through the film adaptation of novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic The Great Gatsby.
The movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann and includes an all-star cast - Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire and more.
The Great Gatsby follows would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles. The music for the movie comes with an original soundtrack that includes everyone from Jay-Z and Kanye West, to Florence + the Machine and Gotye. Beyoncé does a rendition of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" and also a jazz version of her song "Crazy In Love," performed by Emeli Sandé and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra. The music will prove to be a great for all movie watchers and a good sell on it's own after the movie is out.
