‘Grand Theft Auto 5’ Online Servers Down For Update? Maintenance Times and Dates Latest News
Rockstar Games may have a surprise for 'Grand Theft Auto' fans in celebration of the first anniversary of the fifth installment in the video game series. Since the company announced that 'GTA Online' servers will be down on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 from 9 am to 10 am ET, some believe that an update is coming.
Although the company stated that the game will be down for leaderboard maintenance, reports say that this opportunity may be used by the developers to introduce a DLC or Heist update.
It was reported previously that Rockstar Games will be releasing the highly-anticipated Heist DLC update soon, according to DomisLive- a renowned tipster on YouTube.
"I can see the DLC coming out on Veterans Day, which is gonna fall on a Tuesday, a day we get DLC, and that's gonna fall on Nov. 11," said the YouTube user.
Due to the maintenance announcement, however, speculations arise that the game developers are cleaning up the leaderboards for the upcoming update, which is now believed to be released on Sept. 23.
A previously-leaked piece of information also said that the Heist DLC could have a completely revamped online leaderboard feature in GTA Online.
In addition to this, Rockstar Games said that the fans should stay tuned for more information, since the company is working to get the next Grand Theft Auto 5 Online 1.16 update out as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the release date for PC version of 'Grand Theft Auto V' has been pushed back.
Rockstar Games announced that the said game will be available on Nov. 18 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the PC version will be released on Jan. 27.
It was initially thought that the PC version will arrive last week, but the developers announced that they still need more time to enhance the features of the game.
The company announced that it is pleased to know that many people are anticipating the game's release, but it still trying to make the game "as amazing and polished as possible" for the fans. It also promised to release details about the upcoming game, including its features, in the near future.
