'Gotham' Spoilers and Cast Rumors: Batman Villain- Two-Face, Harvey Dent Played by Nicholas D'Agosto

A new report claims that an actor has been chosen to play the role of Harvey Dent on Fox Network's Batman oriented series, 'Gotham'. EW has confirmed that Nicholas D'Agosto will be playing the role which also goes by the name, Two-Face.

Nicholas D'Agosto who's known for his part in the 'Masters of Sex' series will appear in the rest of 'Gotham' Season 1. After that, he'll be given the choice on whether or not he'd like to reprise his role for Season 2.

Before Dent is horribly disfigured in the series, he'll be a "bright, charming, idealistic Assistant District Attorney," according to Entertainment Weekly. Evidently, after his transformation, viewers will see the other side of the character, his second face.

On that note, the character that is responsible for Dent's disfigurement, Salvatore Maroni, has already been cast with an actor. David Zayas, of 'Dexter' fame, will be taking on the role that helps spawn the notorious Batman villain.

On a side note, Aaron Eckhart played the most recent version of Harvey Dent in Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' (2008).

Stepping into the show, viewers caught the second episode of 'Gotham' on September 29, and were introduced to another character, Selena Kyle. Fans quickly realized that the Catwoman they were witnessing develop on screen, was already unlike previous versions of the character.

Taking into account that Catwoman has been interpreted in different ways over the years and throughout the various Batman shows, this time around fans saw "Cat" with two personalities.

At one point in the episode she'd fall inline as a strong silent type, and on the other hand, she'd pull a complete 180° and become very conversational.

This leads some fans of the show to believe that Two-Face's adaptation on the show will also be unique and different.

'Gotham' airs every Monday night at 8 pm on Fox.
