Google Play All Access Launches: Services Include Cloud Locker, Internet Radio, and On-Demand Streaming [VIDEO]

Music subscription services like Spotify & Mog and music streaming services like Pandora have been a part of the modern music landscape for sometime now. Google decides to join the party with the launch of Google Play All Access. And with the features that it has, it looks to do more than just attend. It looks to dominate.

Sites like Spotify, Google Play and Pandora are composed of 3 main parts: cloud locker services, internet radio, and on-demand streaming. The companies differ in which of these services they choose to offer and how they choose to offer it. For example, Pandora is strictly internet radio, with no on-demand services. Spotify is a mix of both, offering on-demand play as well as custom radio stations. Google Play looks to go the same route, but add a few features.

Google Play All Access launched in the US last Wednesday at the now-typical price point of $10 per month. But, it differs from its competitors by giving everyone a free 30-day free trial to access and try out the service. As an added bonus for early subscribers, it will only cost you $8 per month if you sign up soon. During Google's I/O keynote, they introduced All Access, introducing the features that would be available at launch. Like Spotify, it includes the ability to store your own music in their cloud locker, stream choice music on-demand, and create custom internet radio stations.

Even though Google might be late to the game, they seem to be coming out swinging. They have the advantages (and deep pocketbooks) of a large company and seem to be investing properly to get the most out of their new service. It will be interesting to see how this changes the landscape of internet music.
