Nexus 9 Release Date and Specs Rumors: First Tablet to Feature Android Lollipop

Close on the heels of the iPad Air 2, which had a frenzied launch,we have Google gearing up to launch the Google Nexus 9. The tablet is the first one to roll out from the Android stable with Android Lollipop the latest operating system.

The display screen is 8.9 inches and is powered by 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with a Kepler GPU. The tablet comes armed with 2 GB RAM. The tablet is offered in 3 color variants that is white, black and light brown. The screen resolution is 2048 X 1536 and the tablet can be tapped alive with a double tap. The tablet also has a Bluetooth feature.

Since the Google Nexus was created with the aid of HTC, it sports dual front facing speakers with HTC Boom sound. The battery backup is 6700 mAh which offers a battery life of 9 hours during browsing.

The Google Nexus 9 also has a magnetic keyboard that turns the tablet into a hybrid laptop so the tablet can be used in and out of the office.

The tablet features both a front and rear camera that is 1.6 MP and 8 MP respectively which is standard. The features and specifications are quiet in line with the other tablets in the market. But what sets it apart is its OS which is claimed to be the next generation of operating system. The tablet is up for pre-orders and will be retailed at a price of $399.
