Google Nexus 8 Release Date: Arriving After Google I/O 2014

Google I/O Conference is set for June 25 and Android fans are anticipating the Nexus 8 to be released shortly after the event. While there is no solid information on the specifics of Google's next generation phablet, rumor has it that it will come built with Android 4.5 or 5.0.

It is expected that Nexus 8 will arrive in time with the announcement of Nexus 10 2 release. Web leaks from Motley Fool previewed that Google's latest line of tablets are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, which is significantly stronger than that of Nexus 7, "But Qualcomm has indicated that these parts will be available 'by the end of 2014,' putting them out of the running. The higher end Snapdragon 808/810 parts won't be available until 2015, so those are out, too," the website said.

Other interesting features include an 8-inch to 8.9-inch display with a resolution comparable to that of Apple iPad Mini. It is also expected that Google Nexus 8 will adapt the fingerprint scanner, as well as NVIDIA Tegra system compatible with 64-bit processors.

If the buzz surrounding Nexus 8 is true, this newest device would be more than just a gaming tablet. It will be able to perform heavy multimedia multitasking such as playing videos, social networking, document reading and editing, and camera function with much less lag.

In an article published by Gotta Be Mobile, it was revealed that HTC, who first pioneered Nexus One, is likely to manufacture Nexus 8. More details will follow in the launching of Google I/O Conference 2014.
