Google Glass Price, Privacy, Specs and More / Is Google Spying on Us? [VIDEO]

Google Glass is poised to be the biggest gadget in the technology industry since the iPhone and iPad were released. Though a Google Glass release date is still months away, but the online community is teeming with rumors of the world's next tech tidal wave.

Though Google Glass is bound to be a juggernaut gizmo, many people are in the dark as to what it is and what it even does. Still in developmental stage, here are some of the expected features.

Google Glass will be able to conduct voice searches, send texts, accept incoming phone calls, take photos [5 megapixel camera], search Google and perform modest GPS capabilities. Third party apps will also be available.

Privacy is also an issue with Google Glass. Not knowing if someone is secretly taking pictures or filming you does seem to make some people uncomfortable. The conspiracy theorist would also say that Google is storing private information about us. Google maintains their mission is to organize information and make it accessible.

To use Google Glass, you'll need a Google account and access to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Google Glass is expected to be priced around $1,500 without tax. Start saving your pennies now.

Glass will look similar to a pair of reading glasses with a power button, a speaker, a Micro-USB charging dock and a camera button. The screen is predicted to be 0.75 inches deep and 0.375 x 0.375 wide and tall. Glass will weigh about 1.28 ounces, which is pretty average for a pair of glasses.

But how does Google Glass work? You can either use the voice recognition or the touch pad, or do a combination of both.

Google Glass will come in one storage option: 16GB [actually closer to 12.5GB after formatting].

Google has yet to comment if Google Glass could affect long-term vision.
