Golden Raspberry Awards 2015, Nominations List: Michael Bay's 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' is Worst Picture of 2014?

The fourth installment of the "Transformers" franchise, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" leads this year's Golden Raspberry Awards nominees, with seven nominations, including worst picture, and worst screenplay.

The film, directed by Michael Bay, starring Mark Wahlberg, and Kelsey Grammer was also nominated for worst sequel, worst screen combo, worst supporting actress (Nicola Peltz) and worst director.

"Transformers: Age of Extinction" made over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

"Left Behind" starring Nicholas Cage, and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (another Michael Bay production), join "Transformers: Age of Extinction" as other nominees for the worst picture category.

"Saving Christmas" and "Hercules" are tied for the second most nominations at the annual celebration of the worst in film, with six each.

A slew of other big names in Hollywood are also up for a "Razzie." Cameron Diaz is nominated for worst supporting actress for her work in the "Annie" remake.

Academy Award winner Charlize Theron is up for worst actress, and worst screen combo, with Seth MacFarlane, who is also nominated for worst director for his work in "A Million Ways to Die in the West" (four nominations).

Nicholas Cage, Adam Sandler (10-time nominee, and three-time winner), and "the Legend of Hercules'" Kellan Lutz join MacFarlane for worst actor nominees.

The Razzies are introducing a new category this year called a "redeemer" award, given to past winners who, as reported by TIME, "go on to do not-so-terrible things with their careers."

Nominees for the new category include Ben Affleck, Keanu Reeves, and Jennifer Aniston.

Razzie winners will be announced at a ceremony preceding the Academy Awards in February, and will be presented with raspberry statues, which are spray painted gold.

The Razzies, which began in 1980 as a parody of the Oscars, will take place this year at Hollywood's Montalban theatre on February 21.
