'Glee' Season 6 Spoilers: New York Takes a Backseat

The next season of hit Fox musical comedy "Glee" will be the sixth and final season. Many fans are eager to see how things will end up for the characters they've watched since season one. Ryan Murphy, the show's creator, recently revealed some spoilers about what's to come in the final season of "Glee."

Ryan Murphy recently sat down for an interview with E! where he discussed the direction he will be taking the show as it reaches its conclusion.

It seems that though the current season is taking the cast to New York, the final season will not take place in New York.

"The final season is really its own story and its own location and while the New York stuff will be alive, the final season is really not New York-centric at all," Murphy revealed.

So if the final season is not focusing on New York, what will the season be about?

"I think the main thrust of them will be a final farewell to all of our characters that we've known since season one," Murphy said.

The show creator also went on to say that the season will not be the traditional 24 episodes long. Rather, it will be shorter.

"For me, doing a straight run-through of 24 episodes just doesn't seem to be viable. It doesn't feel right," he told E!
