‘Glee’ Season 6 Spoilers: NeNe Leakes Will Return, McKinley High Transfers Location
Season 6 of Glee has just begun filming and already rumors and spoilers are emerging about the finale storyline of the series.
What can already be confirmed about the upcoming installment, is that shooting will not take place in New York, star of the show Lea Michele made mention of that herself.
Jane Lynch who plays as Sue Sylvester told FOX that the new season would be a homecoming story, "We're all going to be coming back together in Ohio at McKinley," she said.
Glee co-producer Ryan Murphy also said that it is possible that the new season will revolve around a homecoming story in a "very nostalgic way." However, he said that they will pick a new location for the shoot, but did not reveal where the new location will be.
NeNe Leakes is also said to be back for the show's final season, "I hope I'm back for Glee's final season as well," she told Entertainment Weekly.
Murphy recently told the press that the show is willing to welcome back the actors who have appeared in the previous seasons, "We have, or we will be, reaching out to all the regulars on the show - the original group of glee club members and teachers, and anyone who wants to come back. Anyone who wants to be a part of the show, we welcome them," he told TVLine.
He concluded with, "When we just had our big 100th episode celebration, I spoke to many of them, and everybody in the cast seems to look back on the show with such fondness and nostalgia. I think everybody wants to come back and end that story correctly, so that's our answer. Anybody who wants to be a part of that ending, we'd love to have you."
The final season also hints a new lover for the show's star, Rachel Barry, "This year what we decided to do was to remove the equation of anybody coming in and taking Finn's place, because I don't really think that's possible. And I think that worked out quite well. I really liked dwelling on Rachel's career again. She's going to be a star," said Murphy.
"So we have to make that decision in the next couple of weeks or months: Is Rachel going to have another romance or does the second half [of Rachel's life], romantically, happen when Glee is over? That's something we're debating. It's hard." Murphy stated.
