'Glee' Season 6 Release Date, Spoilers: Filming Starts September 2014, Premiere Spring 2015

'Glee' fans are looking forward to the Spring of 2015, and the series finale season of the popular musical comedy-drama that's been running on FOX Network since 2009.

Recently, Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the show, dished out some of her enthusiasm about the upcoming installment of the show. The actress shared that she's looking forward to going back to McKinley High, the place where it all started, even if it's only for a couple of episodes. Season 6 spoilers have previously revealed that the show will end where it all began, McKinley High School.

Beyond that, additional spoilers mention that an intense competition between the rival groups, Warblers and Directioners, is set to take place in the new season. Fans can recall from Season 5 that the two opposing singing groups were at each other's throats for the coveted center stage spotlight.

As it stands, it's anyone's game for the prestigious title of the school's best musical singing group.

On a side note, actor Nolan Funk, who plays Hunter Clarington (Warbler), on 'Glee' recently posted a photo of Darren Criss, who portrays Blaine Anderson (ex-Warbler, now Directioner), on social media. This leads many to believe that the two will be seriously involved in the imminent showdown of the two groups during Season 6.

Also, it has been confirmed that Max Adler will feature as Dave Karofsky in the new 13-episode installment.

In terms of new cast members, a new female role has been added to 'Glee'. The character will attend McKinley High and showcase her singing talent. She stems from Dalton Academy, but chose to transfer to McKinley for reason not yet revealed.

Spoilers also mention that fans of the show should watch out for who's going to be in charge of directing the two rival singing groups, and that Season 6 filming will begin in September.
