'Glee' Season 5 "The Quarterback" Tribute to Cory Monteith / LIVE STREAM ONLINE / Cast at McKinley High Says Goodbye to Finn [TRAILER]
Glee Season 5 airs tonight on a somber note. The much-anticipated Cory Monteith tribute episode "The Quarterback" features the actor's real life girlfriend Lea Michelle. She says the episode was handled perfectly and was even therapeutic.
In a recent interview with TV Week Australia Michelle talked about how tonight's episode parallels her actual experience.
"We had a beautiful memorial for Cory in the auditorium and some of the cast members sand and people spoke about him. It only felt right that we would do the same thing for Finn, so I felt it was very therapeutic."
What ties the members of Glee together is the idea that music can guide them through the drama of ever day life. Now more than ever the students of McKinley High need songs to help them deal with the loss of their All-American quarterback Finn Hudson.
Tonight's episode will feature several songs:
"If I Die Young" by The Band Perry
"Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dylan [sang by Cory and Finn's girlfriend, Lea Michelle]
"Seasons of Love" from Rent [sang by the entire Glee cast]
"I'll Stand By You" by The Pretenders [sang by Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes]
"Fire & Rain" by James Taylor
"No Surrender" by Bruce Springsteen
Don't miss tonight's Cory Monteith tribute episode "The Quarterback" on Glee Season 5, which airs at 9 PM on FOX.
