'Glee' Season 5 Cast News, Demi Lovato Joins Adam Lambert to Play Lea Michele's Friend on Hit FOX Show (VIDEO)

"Glee" Season 5 makes their emotional return to television on Sept. 26 for the first episodes since the tragic loss of one of their stars Cory Monteith in July. 

"Glee" already made one huge cast addition by bringing on "American Idol" album and vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert and now have made more breaking news. 

Popstar and "X-Factor" judge Demi Lovato will be joining "Glee" for Season 5. She will play the role of Dani, who will be one of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) and Santana Lopez's (Naya Rivera) New York friends. 

The 20-year-old "Heart Attack" singer is confirmed to appear in at least 6 episodes and will have plenty of interaction and singing numbers with Lambert. 

Lovato will appear first in the second episode of the season and part two of the Beatles tribute on Oct. 3rd.
