"Glee" Cory Monteith Tribute Episode: Deceased "Glee" Star's Memorial Episode Features Bleak Songs and Somber Attitude / Cast Reactions [TRAILER] [WATCH LIVE ONLINE]

The Cory Monteith tribute episode proved to be one of the hardest "Glee" episodes to film according to the cast. Cory Monteith, a young star who lost his life to drugs and alcohol recently, was an energetic part of the "Glee" family and the actors on the show are having a hard time dealing with his death. The Cory Monteith memorial episode was filmed almost entirely during the first take because the cast members were running from the set crying. Executive producer Ryan Murphy talked to TheWrap.com about the tribute episode. He said, " Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance, because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it. I've never seen a crew where you can't continue shooting because they left the room sobbing. It was very hard, and I struggled even working on it. Because you're seeing what they felt about not just Finn [Hudson, Monteith's character], but Cory. So I think it's amazing performances across the board, and everybody went into it with a lot of love."

The episode will be titled "The Quarterback" and is said to tackle the subject of Cory Monteith's death head on. A spoiler that raises some questions is that Dianna Agron is allegedly being excluded from the episode due to a general dislike of the actress. This is a strange choice because she was Finn's love interest in the earlier seasons of the show. Some speculate that the snub was due to the fact that Ryan Murphy and Monteith's real-life girlfriend Lea Michele strongly disliked her and made the decision that she would not return for the memorial episode.
