'Girls' Season 4 Release Date and Latest Spoilers: Hannah to Shirk Friends and Partner to Attend School In Iowa

Iowa University's Writers Workshop is one of the most prestigious program for aspiring writers and has hosted many of the country's top writers both as students and staff.

Hannah was overjoyed at the end of the third season of "Girls" when she received a letter of acceptance to Iowa Writers' Workshop.

What does this mean for the next season though?

Will Hannah split up from the other titular girls to take her adventures to the Midwest?

Well there is one easy way to answer that question. According to sources, HBO has already asked the Iowa Workshop administration if it could film on their campus, and received a rounded no as a reply:

"While we are pleased that the Iowa Writers' Workshop is receiving national attention and that our graduate is doing well in her career, our general practice is to not allow filming, due to potential disruption to campus," a spokesman for the campus is quoted as saying.

Rumors also have the college rejecting the free publicity due to the script of the new "Girls"' season depicting the campus unfavorably. Either way, it seems like "Girls" will be filming part of its new season at least somewhere in the Midwest, and casting its main character far out of the daily operations of its other stars.

Spoilers have this season introducing some new characters via Hannah's new environment: a quirky professor and a distinctly intelligent classmate with problems.

Season 4 has begun filming so the release date shouldn't be too far in the future. If you haven't already be sure to check HBO to catch up on Season Three Hannah's adventures with all her wacky friends.
