Girls' Generation Tops Oricon Charts at No. 1, 'Jessica and Krystal' Show Takes Heartwarming Turn
K-pop idol groups Girls' Generation and JYJ are once again dominating the music charts as their recent album releases garnered several awards in Japan. As it stands, Girls' Generation remains number 1 on the Japanese music chart, Oricon.
Girls' Generation's album, THE BEST, is a compilation their hit tracks, which sold a total of 301,477 copies in its first month after release. The album held the No. 1 position at the top of the chart for two consecutive weeks.
Things are definitely on the rise for the popular girl group since recently they announced that they would be releasing a new photo book called "Girls' Generation in Las Vegas." The photo book will be filled with pictures of the girls partying and shopping in Las Vegas and will be released on August 25.
In other news, Girls' Generation group members, Jessica and Krystal, have their own television series that recently aired a special episode on August 5. The show, 'Jessica & Krystal' showed the pair at a hotel in Seoul where they shared a heartfelt moment.
In the episode Jessica burst into tears as she had discovered a touching message left for her by Krystal. Jessica responded with, "I'm thankful that you are always on my side. I'm always on your side too. Thank you always. Let's stop crying."
This was a big moment for the two, as work has been getting in the way of their very close friendship, Jessica had this to say about it, "Saying my work is busy is just an excuse. You become parted with your closest people. You have to do better, that's why I feel so sorry toward you.We don't have much time to spend together. Now we will have more time and more freedom. I want to do better for you and talk with you more."
