'Ghostbusters 3' Movie Release Date, Cast Rumors: Bill Murray Reveals Dream Team For Upcoming Film

In an interview, film legend and original 'Ghostbusters' star Bill Murray mentioned some interesting names when asked about the possible all-female 'Ghostbusters 3' cast.

 revealed in a recent interview who he wants to star in the popular movie franchise in reference to the rumored all-female cast.

"Melissa [McCarthy] would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny - God, she's funny," said Murray to the Toronto Star while promoting his new film titled 'St. Vincent' (which also co-stars the 'Mike & Molly' actress) at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"I like this girl Linda Cardellini (Mad Men) a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."

He further expressed his views about the potential all-female 'Ghostbusters' cast in the aforementioned interview.

"I'm fine with it," said Murray, "I would go to that movie, and they'd probably have better outfits, too."

McCarthy also revealed her feelings about starring in the franchise that had legendary actors like Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis and the late great actor, writer and director Harold Ramis.

"I think that somebody is really trying to do it, but nobody has talked to me about it," said McCarthy, "Listen, if the people I think are doing it are doing it, I must never question them."

The 44-year-old Plainfield, Illinois native further expressed her views about appearing in the forthcoming movie.

"Oh, my God, that's daunting. That's taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all," said McCarthy in reference to the rumored all-female cast who will potentially battle ghosts, demons and other monsters on the streets of New York City.

The 'Ghostbuster 3' film is expected to begin filming next year, and so far, there is no official announcement regarding the release date.
