George Zimmerman CNN Interview: God is the 'Only Judge that I Have to Answer to' (VIDEO)

George Zimmerman has been in the media spotlight lately; from his controversial paintings to his celebrity-boxing match and now, in a new interview with CNN, he said that God is his only Judge.

Almost two years after the night Zimmerman killed 17-year-old Martin in a Florida subdivision claiming he acted in self-defense, he sat down with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo for a candid interview. During the interview he claimed he was a victim, the government conspired against him in the media, and he and God alone are the only ones who know the truth of what really happened.

Cuomo asked if he ever once doubted himself after everything happened, to which Zimmerman replied "no." Cuomo then further inquired as to why not, and he replied it was his "Faith in God."

The 30-year-old Florida native felt like regardless of all the criticism in the end, there is only one judge who matters, he told CNN. "God," he said adding, "I know that ultimately, he's the only judge that I have to answer to. He knows what happened. I know what happened. So I'd leave it up to him."

It has been seven months since a Florida jury acquitted Zimmerman of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in Martin's death.

CNN anchor Cuomo taped the interview with Zimmerman that ran on "New Day" this morning and Zimmerman escaped questions about whether he regreted killing Martin and said he had been made a "scapegoat" for "the government, the president, and attorney general."

He also added that he was not haunted at all by the events that happened and could not explain why. For the majority of questions that Cuomo asked trying to get Zimmerman to show sympathy for what happened to Martin, Zimmerman always reverted to stating that he was the victim.

A new hobby that Zimmerman picked up has made headlines. He started to sell paintings; one of his paintings reads, "God, One Nation, With Liberty and Justice for All."

In a previous interview with Fox News that took place while Zimmerman was still on trial, he also brought up God and told his interviewer everything that happened "Was God's Plan."
