Famous Hollywood couple George Clooney and Amal Almuddin have some exciting news for fans as they have released information on possible venues for their wedding, and the number one spot on the list goes to Italy.

According to reports, last weekend the 53-year-old actor Clooney, and the 36-year-old British lawyer Almuddin and her mother, travelled to Italy as they looked around for wedding venues in time for their most awaited wedding ceremony in September.

Clooney welcomed the two ladies in his £25 million villa at Lake Como.Reports claim that the villa may be the spot in which the wedding would take place. Eye witnesses caught the couple smiling for cameras and they ventured in search of the perfect place to perform the ceremony.

The group was also spotted a week later at Villa Oleandro, which is a popular location for exquisite A-List weddings. According to Mayor Roberto Pozzi in his statement with E! News, "If they do decide to take their wedding vows here, we will evaluate all additional security and privacy measures that can be implemented," he said.

The Mayor made it a point to share his gratefulness if ever the couple decides to wed in his town, "We are very conscious of the beautiful tie that Clooney has with the town of Lario, and the sentiment goes both ways, and has been strong on our part for some 10 years now. Should they decide to take their wedding vows here in Laglio, it would be the crowning of a privileged relationship between Clooney and this town," the Mayor told E! News.
