Gay Woman Feels Led to Murder Her Partner's Children After Hearing Sermon about Abraham's Sacrifice

A woman in Florida murdered her previous girlfriend's daughter believing she was to sacrifice the two-year-old after hearing a sermon about Abraham and Isaac.

The suspect, Kymberley Dawn Lucas has also been accused of attempting to kill her ex-partner's 10-year-old son. She tried tried to commit suicide soon after but was revived by emergency workers.

After hearing a sermon about Abraham's test of sacrifice with his promised son Isaac at Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches, Lucas, who was there with the young children, began to believe these kids should suffer the same fate.

According to Sun Sentinel, the suspect gave the boy Ethan a cup of coffee with a pill dissolved in it., and told him it would "help him grow." Half a pill was given to the girl Elliana, who was then taken to the bathroom to be washed.

Feeling "tired" and "dizzy," Ethan went to sleep and when he awoke found Lucas in the bed with him without the toddler. It is then reported he grabbed a knife to unlock the bathroom door and found his sister underwater in the tub. He began CPR, and called 911 after not being able to wake up Lucas.
"Lea's sermon really, really touched me yesterday, but God never told me to stop!" a note left by the 40-year-old said. The woman referred to in the note, is Rev, Lea Brown, the pastor of the church.

"There is no comprehension, there's no reasoning, there's no answer as to why. It's a horrible thing that's happened, and as a minister of the gospel, the good news, my hope is that we will be God's love to one another," Brown said according to CharismaNews. "She was really an exceptional child and she was just incredibly sweet and loving and happy," the pastor spoke of the young girl.
"There's no way anyone could have predicted this," she said.

There is no further information on the children's biological mother and where she was at the time of this tragedy.
