"Game of Thrones" just finished with the epic Season 3 on HBO and fans are already clamoring for news about the upcoming Season 4. 

There will be new character additions coming to "Game of Thrones" for Season 4, according to The Stir. 

Prince Oberyn Martell, also known as "Red Viper" will be a big character in key scenes in Season 4 and defending one of the shows favorite people. (Read The Stir article for more in depth spoiler alerts). 

Show producer, David Benioff, has talked about how the hit series is known for the high number of characters the show has used over its first three seasons. 

"The series has already reached a point where there are so many characters, particularly in season three we're introducing so many new ones," said Benioff. "We run the risk of bursting at the seams as we try to cram every single subplot and all the various characters and it becomes impossible on a budgetary level and it becomes impossible on an episode-basis to jump around every few minutes to 30 different characters and locations."

No official trailers for Season 4 have been released yet, but you can expect big things, exciting new developments and plenty of new faces.
