'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: 'Thrones' Author George R.R. Martin Confirms 3 New Characters [VIDEO]

With two episodes left to go in Game of Thrones Season 3, rumors about Season 4 have already started popping up around the Web. Though HBO has yet to confirm any of these rumors, three new characters from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire are expected to be major players in Westeros come Season 4.

At ConQuesT in Kansas City, last weekend, Martin was kind enough to reveal one new Thrones character would be a wildling, a new character from House Tyrell, and a character from Dorne.

1. The Magnar of Thenn was the first new character Martin revealed. Styr is a "magnar" in the wildling army ["magnar" means lord in the old tongue]. Though Tormund is the wildling captain that leads Jon Snow and rest of the party over the wall, Styr is in fact the character who does that in the book. Look for Styr to make his mark in Game of Thrones Season 4 in the attack against Castle Black and the remaining Night's Watch.

2. Margaery and Loras's father, mace Tyrell will also be a Season 4 regular. Though Lady Olenna plays the perfect foil to Tywin Lanister, she doesn't speak as highly about her son Mace.

3. Finally a character from Dorne is introduced in Season 4. Oberyn Martell is easily a Thrones favorite in the book, but the location has seen little screen time in the HBO series. Will Thrones producers cast the people of Dorne? Black, white? Oberyn Martell comes to King's Landing and affects the trajectory of Tryion Lannister's role in Westeros.

Tune in for Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 9, "The Rains of Castamere" Sunday at 9/8c on HBO.
