If you're a fan of Game of Thrones, Disney fantasies and Tim Burton inspired movies, then you should check out the upcoming live-action Cinderella re-make. Game of Thrones star, Richard Madden, who play Rob Stark in the popular HBO series, is cast as Prince Charming.

"Game of Thrones" star Richard Madden has traded his sword for a glass slipper, joining the cast of Disney's live-action "Cinderella," Disney announced Wednesday.

Downton Abbey's Lily James has already been confirmed to play Cinderella. Cate Blanchett will redefine the role of the wicked stepmother.

Richard Madden's role on Game of Thrones should serve him well for Prince Charming. Unfortunately his Rob Stark sensibilities haven't earned him too many other film roles. His last movie, Chatroom, from director Hideo Nataka was poorly received. However, he continues to perform excellently as a young King of the North, Rob Stark, in Game of Thrones.

After the success of live action classics like Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Disney knew a live action Cinderella could be a box office smash. Kenneth Branagh, who screenwriting credits include The Golden Compass, Ants, and About A Boy [to name a few] is scheduled to begin filming in London this fall.

Hopefully Cinderella won't interfere with Thrones. HBO recently confirmed Rob Stark (Madden) will be back for another batch of episodes in 2014. You can catch Richard Madden as Rob Stark in Game of Thrones every Sunday at 9/8c.
