'Game of Thrones' Season 3: Episode 8 "Second Sons" Part 1 Recap
With two episodes left of Game of Thrones Season 3, "Second" Sons Episode 8 did not disappoint. The show opened up with Stark rebel-daughter Arya contemplating assassinating her captor Hound with a stone. The battle-tested Hound has seen greater foes than the she-girl and ends up teaching her a lesson about the evil nature of men.
Meanwhile Daenerys "Khalessi" Targaryen is trying to build her army to march on King's Landing. Unfortunately for the Mother of Dragons, she must first go through Titan's two thousand strong army, the "Second Sons". Don't let her delicate looks fool you. Khaleesi knows how to strategize and actually give's the "Second Sons" an ultimatum to join her army. Obviously they decline and settle to murder her in her sleep.
The priestess of Light, Melisandre brings the Baratheon heir, Gentry back to his homeland. Stanis is confronted with his bastard son for the first time. It's obvious the blacksmith's sole purpose is to be sacrificed.
Stanis takes council from a close friend, Davor whom he released as long as he never tried to attack Melisandre again.
Lord Tyrion stops by Sansa, his new Lady's chambers for a private chat. Though the midget Lannister is lacking in stature, his communication skills consoled the timid, naïve princess of the North, Sansa [who is still reeling over Loras's sudden departure].
Game of Thrones Season 3 Episode 8, "Second Sons" also features the weeding of Joffrey and Margeary. Apparently Cersei isn't so keen on the idea of being sisters with the Tyrell girl and threatens to kill Margeary in her sleep if she ever uses the namesake.
