'Game of Thrones' Casts Season 4 Prince Oberyn: Red Viper "Was A Tough One" According to "Thrones" Producers / Season 4 Premiere Spring 2014
Still bummed Game of Thrones is over; at least til' Spring 2014? Well let's tie you over with a few new rumors about the fourth season of the epic, magically realistic HBO hit.
Chilean actor Pedro Pascal has been confirmed for the 4th season reprising George R.R. Martin's Prince Oberyn Martell character in the Game of Thrones series.
"This was a tough one," say Thrones co-creator David Benioff and executive producer Dan Weiss. "The Red Viper is sexy and charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate. The boys love him, the girls love him, and he loves them all back; unless your last name is Lannister. We found a fellow who can handle the job description and make it seem effortless. He wasn't easy to find and he won't be easy to stop."
Unless your name is Lannister might as well be the tagline for Game of Thrones; nevermore so going into Season 4.
Game of Thrones Season 4 spoiler alert! [close your eyes...]
Speaking of King's Landing, the Red Viper will be seeking revenge, as a member of the House Martell, for the death of his sister Elia. Will a newly returned Lannister like Jaime save the day? He does only have one hand, ya know?
Anywho, the Red Viper has been officially cast. What does that mean for the rest of the new Season 4 cast members? What about Lady Stoneheart?
Game of Thrones Season 4 is set to being filming July 2013, and will [hopefully] premiere Spring 2014.
