'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Storyline Shifts from George R.R Martin's Novels
While the cast and crew are busy filming for HBO's 'Game of Thrones' in Spain, as well as other regions in Europe, fans can expect Season 5 to air in June 2015.
Meanwhile, some recent reports have claimed that 'Game of Thrones', the television adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novel 'A Song of Ice and Fire', is deviating considerably from the actual storyline of the novel on which it is based.
Usually, the TV adaptation of a book follows its storyline, but at times it also steers away from the events described in the books or even changes the order of the events to tell a new story as per the wishes of the producers.
In fact, it is not always possible to follow a book literally when transitioning to television. Therefore, it is not surprising that the same is going to happen in 'Game of Thrones' Season 5.
'Games of Thrones' spoilers hint that the story of Jaime Lannister will be among the biggest changes next season, when he will be shown heading to Dorne. He is on a mission to the Martell house to tell the house about Oberyn Martell's fate against The Mountain.
At Martell house, he will be meeting Doran, Oberyn's brother, and the latter's daughters Obara, Tyene and Nymeria who have been nicknamed as the Sand Snakes. This is different from the events in the book, wherein Jaime undetakes another mission following Cersei's order.
Meanwhile, a photograph of the set of the show leaked recently showing Tyrion Lannister at the right hand of Daenerys Targaryen and her new husband, the Meereenese aristocrat Hizdahr zo Loraq. In Season 4, viewers last saw Tyrion leaving King's Landing to escape his death sentence.
The photo has made the fans speculate that Tyrion's story will take a leap forward time during 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 and that the show creators have omitted some parts of the book.
While the TV show will evidently deviate a little from the books, author George R. R. Martin has affirmed it will not affect him whatsoever.
