'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Release Date News, Spoilers: New Characters Revealed

As HBO's hit series, 'Game of Thrones' Season 4 ended in a shocking turn of events, fans are eager to hear any news at all about the upcoming fifth season. Since the show has been consistently filming and airing around the same time each year, sources say filming for Season 5 will commence in the Fall and prepare the show for a Spring 2015 release.

The popular series will most likely pick up where it left off in Season 4. Fans can expect to see the happenings at The Wall as there are still many prominent characters who currently reside there. Also, King's Landing will be involved in numerous scenes as the Season 4 twists will surely cause mass confusion and commotion there. However, some speculate that since many of the major characters are no longer in King's Landing, its screen time will be shortened.

Even after losing many characters during 'Game of Thrones' Season 4, many still remain and new characters will surely emerge.

Fans can expect new characters with the last names of Martell and Sand. Some of the confirmed new characters include The High Sparrow, a pious and religious leader, another called Septa Unella is said to play a major role in one of the major character's lives, Yezzan, a slave owner, Meeteenese, the Waif, a strange child who Arya bumps into during her time in Braavos.

Additionally, casting is underway for Prince Doran, the elder brother of Oberyn, and three of his eight daughters, Tyene, Obara and Nymeria. On a side note, Doran, 10 years old, will be seen confined to a wheel chair.
