‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Premiere Date, Plot Spoilers: HBO Program Catching Up With Finished Books

Game of Thrones Season 5 scores well in the rank for the most anticipated televison series premiere in the 2015 lineup. This can be accredited to the many shocking deaths and revelations occurring in the fourth season.  However, with the HBO series currently catching up the fininshed and published Game of Thrones books, reports are now claiming that soon there may be a drastic change in cast and plot lines.

Meanwhile, in his interview with New York Times, author George R.R. Martin admitted that the show needs more episodes per season, and it would be ideal for Season 5 in particular to have additional episodes.

"I wish we had more episodes. I'd love to have 13 episodes. With 13 episodes, we could include smaller scenes that we had to cut, scenes that make the story deeper and richer," he continued.

Rumors are spurning right now that the series on HBO is quickly catching up the plot lines from the books the series is based from, meaning that soon producers and script writers will be forced to move into the unknown and expand the show's storylines and characters outside the books.

Game of Throne's fourth season finale, The Children, showed a different Tyrion Lannister, who strangled his ex-lover Shae out of betrayal and for sleeping with his father. Fans are eager to know what consequences will await him in Season 5.

"I think sometimes people just get pushed too far, sometimes people break. And I think Tyrion has reached his point. He's been through hell, he's faced death over and over again, and he's been betrayed, as he sees it, by all the people that he's tried to take care of, that he's tried to win the approval of. He's been trying to win his father's approval all his life. And despite his misgivings, he fell in love with Shae, he let himself give his heart to her," Martin told Entertainment Weekly.

Game of Thrones Season 5 is expected to premiere on April 2015.
