'Game of Thrones' Season 5 News: HBO to Release Behind-The-Scenes Special on Feb. 8
The Game of Thrones series is back and better than ever... In April. Until then, unsatisfied Game of Thrones fanatics will have to make do with trailers and teasing, cryptic hints. As a little bonus thank-you to everyone who continues to adore the show, HBO announced that it would be making a behind-the-scenes special for Season 5.
The special will be titled "Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life," and feature the filming, set-making, and antics of the cast. Although the special does not come out until Feb. 8th, fans have been clamoring for sneak peeks of the newly anticipated show.
Not to disappoint, a promo video for the fifth season released a hint at what the "Day in the Life" feature will be showing.
According to the teaser, the behind-the-scenes special will focus on what an average day of filming might look like. The half-hour documentary jumps between three countries since Game of Thrones is typically filmed in all three settings at once. The sneak peek will take place in Belfast, Croatia, and Spain. The promo claimed that Game of Thrones is the only television series to shoot at least two production units on the same day.
Game of Thrones fans know how famous the show is for its elaborate sets and worldly locations. The cast and crew itself has to be massive to be able to tell all of the stories that make up George R. R. Martin's bestselling books. It will be exciting to see how everything comes together in time for the next season of Game of Thrones.
