Game of Thrones Season 4 Spoilers: Tyrion Will Leave Kings Landing After Prince Oberyn’s Death

The eagerly-anticipated Season 4 Episode 8 of the "Game of Thrones" will be aired next week on June 1, instead of May 25 - the break owing to the Memorial Day weekend. It is expected that this episode of the HBO fantasy drama will feature a combat scene between the The Viper and The Mountain to decide the fate of Tyrion.

The fate of Tyrion is uncertain still as he fights to clear his name after being set up for murder.

Meanwhile, viewers will see how Gregor Clegane is a veteran warrior. If George R. R. Martin's book "A Song of Fire and Ice" on which the TV series "Game of Thrones" is based, is anything to go by then Prince Oberyn will be using poison on his spear head and making quick strikes at The Mountain to discover any opening or flaw in the latter's armor.

After the prince injures The Mountain with the poisoned spear, he jeers at the latter and incites him to own up the rape and murder of his sister and her children. However, in the end, Gregor Clegane prevails in the combat, while Prince Oberyon dies.

Prior to Prince Oberyon's death, Gregor Clegane confesses that he raped and killed the former's sister. After some time, the effects of the poison begin to work and Gregor Clegane is in agonizing pain. Although some fans believe that The Mountain is alive, the book suggests that eventually he dies.

While "Game of Thrones" Season 4 will prove to be a defining moment for Tyrion, as he will be declared guilty following the death of Prince Oberyn. Tyrion will not go to the gallows, as his brother Jaime as well as Lord Varys will ensure his safety and also make certain that he quits Kings Landing.
