'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: Purple Wedding 'The Wedding of the Year'
Fans of hit HBO show "Game of Thrones" are still talking about last season's "Red Wedding" episode. It was one of the most talked about television events in HBO's history. But "Game of Thrones" isn't resting on their laurels. The show is planning yet another wedding for the new season of the show. The next wedding, dubbed, the "Purple Wedding" is being highly anticipated by fans. George R.R. Martin as well as the blog MakingGameOfThrones.com have both provided some spoilers for the "Purple Wedding."
George R.R. Martin, who penned the "Game of Thrones" book series, recently revealed some details about season four's wedding when talking with TV Guide.
"It's going to be the wedding of the year, and as memorable in its own way as our wedding last season. It's what the fans call the Purple Wedding, based on the color of the wine, which plays a big part," said Martin.
A description of the shooting of the Purple Wedding scenes has been posted to the HBO production blog, MakingGameOfThrones.com.
"While the ceremony itself was filmed in one of our semi-permanent sets in Belfast, the Sept of Baelor, the reception was filmed in a beautiful outdoor set located in Parc Gradac in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The park was transformed by our new Production Designer, Deb Riley, and her team into everything you might desire from a Royal Wedding carnival, with elaborate decorations, an epic feast and the most creative and unexpected forms of entertainment for the guests," wrote Cat Taylor on MakingGameOfThrones.com
