Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks will go head to head with Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls tonight at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

This will be Chicago's home opening game. Derrick Rose made his return to the paint this past Tuesday in a game against Lebron James and the Miami Heat, which kicked off the new NBA season.

This season the Knicks are going to have fans at the edge of their seats not knowing what to expect. It's possible that the team could replicate what they did last year making it to the second round of the playoffs since 2000, but with the improvement of many teams such as, the Nets, Pacers, and the Bulls it's going to be far from smooth sailing for the Knicks.

However, Knicks did manage to get some good pick-ups such as Metta World Peace, Beno Udrih, and Andrea Bargnani.

As for the Bulls, Rose is sure he will play tonight despite his recent neck injury that possibly happened during Tuesday's 107-95 loss to the Miami Heat. When asked Rose responded,

"Hell yeah," Rose said, "For sure I know I'm going to play. But it's just that I've got to get loose. I've been getting treatment the last couple of days, even this morning. It's just getting my blood going, then getting into the arena and seeing how much attention there is for tonight."
