Galaxy S5 vs Galaxy Note 4 Comparison: Review of Specs - Which is Better?
The Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note lines are two smartphones which now sum up and define Samsung's phone product line. Samsung released its Galaxy S models in the spring while its phablet counterpart, Galaxy Note appears every fall. This year it has been no exception as Galaxy Note 4 has appeared, six months after the release of Galaxy S5.
Galaxy S5 didn't receive a good reception in the market as consumers were having high expectations with QuadHD display and a premium design, a promise which didn't materialize.
However, Samsung has amended their mistakes with Note 4, and delivered a device meeting every expectation of consumers.
Note 4 features high-res, Quad HD, 5.7-inch display, and it comes with a sturdy metal frame and pleasing design. It's also got an improved camera with optical stabilization, a renewed focus on health with a more affluent S Health app, some new sensors, as well as an improved version of its unique feature - the S Pen.
While the main body has been replace with a metal case, the back of the device is still made of plastic like Galaxy S5. Still, Note 4 is very large in comparison to S5. Note 4 is also bulkier and wider than S5 and most of its competition.
While S5 has microUSB 3.0, Note 4 is gone back to microUSB 2.0 which is better looking, but comes with no protection.
Both S5 and Note 4 use Super AMOLED display, but with larger screen, Note 4 offers better resolution. However, S5 has lower pixel density than Note4.
Out in the sun, both devices work great, but Note 4 is slightly better in brighter areas.
