Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs: QHD Display Smartphone Sent for Testing
Recent web leaks from a database source called Zauba revealed that a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 prototype is being sent to India for further testing. The database is reported to contain lists of imports and exports including a spotted 5.7-inch display with identification code SM-N910A believed to be the Galaxy Note 4.
According to GSM Arena, Samsung's newest phablet is confirmed to boast a curved 2560x1440 display resolution screen, the highest from the manufacturer's flagship phones and highly competitive against Apple's iPhone 5c. Other rumored specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.5 GHz processor with a limited variety running on the octa-core 64-bit system.
The upcoming Galaxy Note 4, is expected to be unveiled on September 3, 2014, and is packaged with at least 4 GB RAM and a maximum of 128 GB of internal storage, but an expandable SD slot is highly unlikely. Another Samsung breakthrough is the speculated 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, reported NDTV Gadgets.
If these claims are true, Galaxy Note 4 will be in league to the Sony Xperia Z2 with its 4k video recording capabilities as well as iOS image stabilization feature. Similar to Galaxy S5, Note 4 will also come with a proprietary fingerprint scanner, including the "swipe to launch" programmability like that of the HTC One M8. Samsung's upcoming phablet comes with the latest Android KitKat operating system.
In terms of price, Note 4's introductory cost may start at $800. Samsung Mobile Chief Lee Young Hee announced to Bloomberg that fans can expect its launch at the IFA expo in Berlin.
