Galaxy Note 4 Pre-Order Sale, Discount Price Offered Before Release

Reports previously claimed that Samsung's upcoming phablet Galaxy Note 4, which is slated for a Friday October 17 release in the U.S, will be more "bendy" than the recently released iPhone 6.

However, Samsung's new device will not be "bendy" as a result of a defect, but intentionally flexible. The Galaxy Note 4 was once rumored to be similar to the Galaxy Round, which released exclusively last year on the South Korean market.

On a sour note, since the Galaxy Round performed poorly in terms of sales, the rumor about a "bendy" Note 4 went cold fairly quickly.

Meanwhile, the South Korean tech titan took advantage of the supposed "Bendgate" scandal that shook Apple's iPhone 6 market recently.

A website posted a video by Samsung that certainly teases the "Bendgate" controversy. The video says, "And apparently, our hips are strong - stronger than we give it credit for. Leaving things in your back pocket can lead to, well, bent things. Hence the question: what about my phone? Namely, the Galaxy Note 4..."

Despite this, the Galaxy Note 4 is still plagued with controversy of its own. Recent reports say that the Galaxy Note 4 handsets released earlier have a gap between the edges of the frame - approximately of the size of a standard business card.

In fact, some people were worried that this will affect the waterproof function of the phone. However, Samsung was quick to deny these reports.

An official statement released by Samsung read, "The reported issue does not impact the functionality or quality of the Galaxy Note 4. We assure our customers that all Galaxy Note 4 units meet our strict manufacturing and quality control standards."

In the meantime, U.S. network carrier Sprint has silently decreased the pre-order contract price of the Galaxy Note 4. The two-year plan was cut back by $50 from the original price of $349.99. Now, Sprint is offering the pre-ordered plan for just $299.99 with a view to compete with identical plans offered by AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
