'Frozen' Movie's Song Helps Firefighters Rescue Girl While Singing 'Let it Go' Lyrics (VIDEO)

Firefighters in Boston recently rescued a little girl in the most unlikely fashion, by singing Disney's hit song "Let It Go" from "Frozen" the movie. The firefighters saved 4-year-old girl Kaelyn Kerr, her mom Kristin, and her little brother Jackson when they were all stuck in an elevator on March 19.

"I went to go push the door and nothing happened," said Kristin Kerr to MyFoxBoston in a interview.

The Kerr's were stuck in the elevator for approximately a half hour before they were rescued. However, for little Kaelyn, those 30 minutes seemed like an eternity. When the firefighters arrived to the scene, they realized the only way the family was going to escape the elevator was for them to climb the ladder.

"You say, okay how would my kids be comforted in this situation, so anything we can do to make them more comfortable makes our job a lot easier," said firefighter Scott Myette to MyFoxBoston.

When firefighter John Keough realized that the Kaelyn was scared, he started to talk to her in order to calm her down. Keogh started to talk to her about two of main characters from the "Frozen" movie, Elsa and Olaf. After he discovered that she really loves the film, Keough's co-worker Myette came up with a brilliant solution to make her relax. Myette took out his iPhone and played the Oscar Award winning song "Let It Go."

"I don't like to admit to it," said Myette. "But it just kind of sticks in your head. Kind of a catchy tune."

Since both firefighters are dads, they knew how they the could help the little girl overcome her fears. The two firefighters began singing the Disney tune made famous by Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato. As a result, little Kaelyn was not scared anymore.

"It worked," said Keough to MyFoxBoston. "We got her to a point where she was comfortable with us and up the ladder we went, right up and over, no problem."
