'Frozen 2' Release Date, Plot and Cast Rumors: Photo Indicates Frozen 2 Movie? Will Elsa, Anna & Olaf Be Back?

After grossing over $1.2 billion in earnings for both domestic and international sales as of date, and over 40 awards from all over the world, including 2 Academy Awards and a Golden Globe, Disney's monumental animated success, 'Frozen', has left its fans wanting for more. All of this is only eight months after the highest grossing animated film took the world by storm.

Disney announced in January that Frozen will have a stage musical spin-off, but what avid 'Frozen' fans have really been waiting on is a corroboration that the famed animated stars - Queen of Arandale, Elsa, and her sister Anna, will indeed be returning to the big screen for a sequel.

A picture which was recently posted on Twitter by one of the 'Let It Go' composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez, it showed Idina Menzel, the singer behind the immensely popular Frozen song, with Josh Gad, the voice behind one of the main characters, snowman Olaf. In that tweet, Lopez captioned the image as a possible insinuation for a 'Frozen 2' movie.

The image which Lopez said was taken backstage prompted much speculation that 'Frozen 2' may already be in the works.

In an article published on Yahoo Movies UK, a theory of a possible sequel plot was mentioned where the super powered queen of ice was to find true love perhaps in the person (or snowman) of Olaf. Queen Elsa's sister, Anna has already found a soul mate in Kristoff, a mountain man who harvested ice for a living, who later on became Anna's knight in shining armor.

With Queen Elsa alone and still single, the theory saw it only fitting that the snow queen should discover true love of her own.

As of today, however, Disney has not yet confirmed any news of a 'Frozen' sequel. In the meantime, fans from across the globe can entertain themselves with countless 'Frozen' themed products, Broadway musicals, and 'Frozen' Disney on Ice tours.
