‘Firefly’ Cast Unites For New ‘Firefly Online’ Game: Official Gameplay Trailer [VIDEO]

The cast members for Joss Whedon's popular 'Firefly' series have reunited for the upcoming online videogame title, 'Firefly Online'. First word about this was heard after an announcement was made during the San Diego Comic-Con this year, 2014.

The crew of the Serenity is back to support the 'Firefly' series once again after the show had been canceled for more than a decade now. Inquisitr first broke the story after news about the new online game came about during the Comic Con event.

Originally, fans of the hit TV series were furious with Fox Network after they chose to drop the project after only 11 of the first 14 episodes were aired. Despite the show's short-lived debut in 2002, fans of the show, as indicated by the DVD sales, were disappointed with the outcome. However, good news is on the horizon as the new 'Firefly Online' game might just bring back some fond memories for the show's viewer base.

Fans will be excited to learn that Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk are set to play various roles in the game. Also, Michael Fairman will be returning as the popular crime lord, Niska, according to io9.

With good news about this announcement rolling in from every direction, the developer Quantum Mechanix Interactive has recently revealed a first look at 'Firefly Online' gameplay.
