'Fire Proof' and 'Courageous' Film Creators Alex and Stephen Kendrick Announce Upcoming Christian 'Movie 5' is Finished Shooting (VIDEO)

The Kendrick brothers (Stephen and Alex) recently announced they finished shooting the scenes for their upcoming Christian 'Movie 5' film.

"We made this film to inspire, challenge and motivate families to fight the right kind of battles and to fight them the best way possible," said Director and Co-Writer Alex Kendrick, according to Religion News Service. "We have plans for everything-careers, finances, health. But what about a strategy for prayer for our lives, our spouses and our children?"

In the same article, Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer talked about how happy she was to appear in her first movie thanks to the Kendrick brothers.

"I'm honored to be working with the Kendricks, and to be part of a story that encourages people to pray," said the daughter of world famous Christian televangelist Tony Evans. "Prayer is the most powerful weapon the Church has to unlock the activity of Heaven on earth."

Like Shirer, Christian evangelist Beth Moore will also make her movie debut in a brief appearance in the forthcoming film.

"It's time for fierceness in prayer, and I cannot think of a more crucial message for a movie to convey," said Moore. "God waits to see a generation that will take Him at His Word. Let's be that generation."

This marks the first time Stephen and Alex Kendrick will make a movie that was not affiliated with Sherwood Baptist Church's film company Sherwood Pictures.

"Sherwood is still our church home, and we're here talking to you now only because Michael Catt, our pastor, took a risk, supported us and let us make a movie," said Alex Kendrick.

The future movie will be instead be distributed by the Provident Films and Affirm Films companies which will focus on how prayer can have a positive effect in not only one family but also in American society as well.

"We're going after something here that could radically improve our culture, and moviegoers will experience it within the context of an inspiring and emotional story," Producer and Co-Writer Stephen Kendrick said. "Prayer is so much more than people realize. It can powerfully affect every problem and need in our lives if engaged from within a vibrant relationship with God."
