Final Fantasy X, X-2 HD Remake Trailer Reveals New Game Features, Improved Sphere Grid (VIDEO)

Final Fantasy X and X-2's newest trailer for the PS3 and PS Vita HD remakes are showing off the game's newest features, improved sphere grid, and added audio as well as many other smaller things. See the trailer here.

"Some people might argue it's a simple high definition version of the game released ten years ago, but it had to be more than that," game developer Yoshinori Kitase said to Joystiq. "Because those who played the original version ten years ago, in the space of ten years all those memories become sweeter. They probably remember those games actually better than it was really."

Square Enix will be holding a gallery to exhibit the upcoming Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 games from March 15 to March 26.

Polygon reported that artwork will be on display in Gallery Nucleus in L.A. Special prizes and guest appearances will also be at the event. All proceeds from art sales will be sent to victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

In addition, the first 300 people to walk through the door will receive prizes at the door. The first 200 copies of FFX/X2 will be signed by art director Yusuke Naora.

According to Polygon, copies of the game in both the old format and new format will be playable as well.

There is a new video that shows a comparison between the PS2 and PS3 versions of Final Fantasy 10.

The PS3 remake came out in Japan last month, and it is expected to hit North American audiences on March 18.
