'Final Fantasy IX' PC, Smartphone Release Confirmed, Details: Video Game To Hit Ports In 2016

"Final Fantasy IX" is set to invade multiple gadgets, including the personal computer and mobile phones.

Square Enix announced on Dec. 31 in Japan that "Final Fantasy IX" is coming to PC and smartphones in 2016, according to Kotaku. While the company did not announce as release in the United States, the popular video game is assumed to be in personal computers and mobile devices, since its predecessors had reached the United States.

While it is uncertain as to what extent Square Enix has modified for "Final Fantasy IX," the most recent video game trailer put emphasis on the graphics. This is evidenced by high resolution versions of "Final Fantasy" characters like Zidane, which is a prime upgrade from the PC versions of "Final Fantasy VII" and "Final Fantasy VIII."

Aside from the high definition graphics, "Final Fantasy IX" is also expected to have additional achievements, high speed features, auto-save feature, and many other features that are set to enhance the players' gaming experience.

According to some reports, the high speed mode serves as an A+ feature, which has been identified with "Final Fantasy VII's" PlayStation 4 version.

"Final Fantasy IX" also goes back to its classic JRPG set-up, following a slight deviation from the classic characters, storylines, and settings of "Final Fantasy VII" and "Final Fantasy VIII," according to Only Single Player.

As the ninth installment of the "Final Fantasy" video game franchise, "Final Fantasy IX" is developed by Square Enix for the Sony PlayStation video game console.

For the time being, the game is now assumed as one of the most refined and appreciated installment in the game franchise.
