'Final Fantasy 15' Release Date, Playable Demo, News: Game Coming In September; Feature 50-Hour Content
Along with talks about some game features, "Final Fantasy XV" now has a fixed release date and demo. Also, players are set to enjoy around 50 hours of gameplay.
Square Enix announced at the Uncovered event in Los Angeles, California that "Final Fantasy XV" is set to be released globally on Sept. 30, Quarter Disorder reported. As per the publication, players can now pre-order the open-world adventure game in both retail and digital stores. The main scenario for the game is set to run for around 50 hours, since the most recent sequel has more bulk than expected.
It is also noted that Square Enix has also released a new trailer for the forthcoming "Final Fantasy XV" and it featured a separate story, which will not be included in the final game. It serves as a prologue that centers on young Noctis and it aims to unleash the game's final sights and combat in Noctis' realm. Completing the Platinum Demo will unlock an exclusive summon called Carbuncle in the full retail game, however.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Square Enix has also revealed some gameplay elements as well as story details through the Active Time report video series, which allows "Final Fantasy" fans and gamers to see how the game has evolved through the years.
Some changes include Lunafreya, taking over the female protagonist Stella Nox Fleuret. The former is the childhood friend of Noctis, who is set to appear as a guest party member at certain points in the adventure game.
Aside from "Final Fantasy XV," it is also revealed that a Collector's Edition can now be pre-ordered and it is accompanied by two special steelbooks for the film and anime, in-game item packs, "Final Fantasy XV" season 6 anime on Blu-ray, a CGI film on Blu-ray, "Final Fantasy XV" soundtrack, a 192-page hardcover artbook, and Noctis' Play Arts statue. The Collector's Edition costs $269.99 and is limited to 30,000 copies worldwide.
"Final Fantasy XV" can be played on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version for the game was not announced, however.
