‘Final Fantasy 15’ PS4 Release Date News: Demo to Arrive Early 2015, Features Four Hours Gameplay
'Final Fantasy XV' PS4 demo is already set to launch, while the full game is still in the works. The 'Final Fantasy XV' demo will be launched alongside the 'Final Fantasy Type-0' in early 2015.
On the other hand, the full game was reportedly only halfway done and was not given a go signal for its release date yet, according to IGN.
'Final Fantasy' game developer Square Enix gave a sneak peak of the game's "real-time combat system" using the sole playable character available, Noctis.
Aside from that, Director Hajime Tabata promises that gamers will enjoy four hours of gameplay in the demo version.
Tabata revealed that 'Final Fantasy XV' is already 55 percent finished, while the demo is already 80 percent complete during the Tokyo Game Show 2014.
Gamers can expect the demo to be available on the PS4 soon. It will reportedly provide an hour of gameplay through the story campaign, while the rest of the gameplay hours can be played at the dungeons, around the world map, and other challenges.
Even if both the full game and the demo are still incomplete, they are already facing several controversies, especially over the issue of a gender bias because of the "all male" cast of the game.
"The party members being all men were something that [former director] Tetsuya Nomura had kept as a very important element of this journey," Tabata addressed the issue in an interview with IGN.
"He wanted to depict a story in which a group of men, a group of friends, journey throughout the world. So that's something that I kept in Final Fantasy XV," Tabata continued.
Previous 'Final Fantasy' games have featured an equal balance of male and female characters that's why gamers show increasing concern for the upcoming 'Final Fantasy XV'.
However, Tabata made things clear and insisted that "There will be prominent women who make an appearance in the game."
