Fifty Shades of Grey Cast News: EL James and Jamie Dornan Spotted at GQ Men 2014, Oxford Students Weigh In On Trailer

As fans await the premiere of the controversial, yet highly-anticipated film, 'Fifty Shades of Grey', bestselling author E.L. James and actor Jamie Dornan were spotted at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards that were held in London recently.

The 32-year-old actor received the Vertu Breakthrough Award which was presented by E.L. James himself.

Following the event, some of the actors and actresses got together for a little after party. Rita Ora, who plays Christian Grey's sister in the movie was in attendance, and she posted this Instagram picture of the fun they were having.

With the movie still far from its release, fans are still relying on spoilers provided by the actors themselves to ease their anxiousness. In an interview, Dornan revealed that the movie will not be as risque as the book.

Some believe that the producers decided to tone down the film so that they could accommodate to a broader audience, even though the book is strictly for adults.

On a side note, Dornan has signed on for yet another film recently, 'The 9th Life of Louis Drax'. The psycho-thriller is going to be directed by Alexandre Aja, the director famous for the film, 'Horns'. Dornan will play Dr. Pascal Dannachet in the film.

Meanwhile, Oxford provided a cumulative survey on its students regarding the trailers and some of their commentary turned out quite interesting.

"The golden rule is this: the higher the rating, the lower the box office income. So the producers may push for an R-rating. If so, the film won't contain any of the content that everyone wants. Yet they ought to take the risk of an NC-17 rating, as the film is fairly low budget ($40m) and the fan-base is large and well established," said Ashley Fisher.

James Aldred commented, "Almost as influential as the release of the book itself, the trailer has already nearly doubled one online retailer's sales of sex toys. But in amongst the excitement, few have been willing to ask perhaps the most important question: doesn't it just look a bit s**t? The production looks predictably slick but dull, and shows a bumbling, cardigan-wearing woman who can only truly be liberated by a masculine cliché. What year is it again?"

'Fifty Shades of Grey' will hit the theaters on Feb. 14, 2015.
