FIFA 15 Release Date PS4, Xbox One Coming September 2014
While the FIFA 2014 World Cup tournament is well underway, fans of the football game franchise are on the lookout for the latest title in the series, FIFA 15, which is set to release on September 26.
FIFA 15 will be released on next-gen consoles, the Sony Playstation 4, and the Microsoft Xbox One. The game will also be ported to previous consoles, but not all features present in the PS4 and Xbox One version will be available.
The game will also be released to portable console devices, PSVita and 3DS. Unlike in the console versions, the portable renditions will more like FIFA 14, except with a few improvements to mechanics and an updated roster.
Fans are excited about the new features added to the game that were not present in the previous versions, "There are new stadium effects: corner flags react when the ball hits them, LED boards around the pitch transition between advertisements, crossbars rattle, and nets lift off the floor when struck by a particularly tasty shot," according to the PC Gamer.
"The pitch itself is better, too. Moisture kicks up off the turf, and sliding leaves muddy marks, both in the grass and on player's kits. By the end of the match, the ground will be visibly weathered, although it's not been confirmed if tracks and grooves affect the ball physics. It's something EA called "living pitches' apparently," the article adds.
What's more, is that FIFA 15 will be the first addition to run on the brand new Ignite Engine. FIFA has been running on the previous Impact Engine until FIFA 14.
