'FIFA 15' Release Date: Major Graphic Improvements Set for Launch on Sept. 23

Electronic Arts (EA) is set to release 'FIFA 15' for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One as well as the PC on Sept. 23. In preparation for the release, EA is currently working on various updates regarding its latest football "simulator" game.

While portable hand-held gaming units, such as PSVita, will also receive the game, it is important to note that all features will not be available on all consoles. A few features like the Ultimate Team Legends mode will be exclusive for specific consoles. For instance, the Ultimate Team Legends mode will solely be available for Xbox users.

The official cover of the game released by EA features Argentinian striker Lionel Messi, and he is accompanied by Clint Dempsey, a footballer from the United States team.

The company has emphasized that the new title's graphical improvements are new to the franchise. One such upgrade includes AI-emotional intelligence, where the in-game AI responds to the plays made by the player. According to EA, this will bring in a realistic as well as natural feel to the matches.

Other graphical upgrades that help to contribute to the game's realism are comprised by enhanced lighting, ambiance, and a livelier audience. In fact, players will be able to notice small  details like breathing during close ups and cut scenes. In addition, the footballers' hair will flow with the movement of the wind and their own movements as well.

EA has also designed in-game player kits to move and rustle convincingly and also become muddy and dirty as the match progresses. The playing field also benefits from realistic upgrades like getting visibly worn out from shoe prints and skid marks caused by slide tackling. However, it is still not clear whether these skid marks will have a perceptible effect on the ball's behavior.

In addition, other graphical improvements include features like the corner flags, which will respond clearly when hit by a ball, the rattling of the goal posts when hit by a ball, and also the net that ascends from the ground whenever a goal is scored.
