‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Season 2 Premiere Date, Spoilers: Survivors Head Into the Ocean?

The premiere episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is just around the corner and AMC has been teasing about where the survivors of season 1 are headed this time.

Previous trailers and teasers for the upcoming season showed that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will be spending more than half of its time in the waters, but the most recent teaser shows that being away from the zombies does not necessarily guarantee safety for the survivors. In fact, it points out to an even bigger danger in the zombie apocalypse--the members of their own group.

While "The Walking Dead" season 6 is centered on factions and group loyalty, "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is all about measuring up the dangers of staying on land with the undead or surviving in the waters with people you cannot actually trust.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Erickson shared: "We are going to go to land and we are going to have a balance between sea and land."

He added that while staying in the water will allow the characters to get away from the zombies, they will quickly realize that "the dangers on the ocean are equal to if not greater than the dangers on land."

"And that's going to put us in a place where we're stuck between the two," he said.

Survivors in the upcoming season consist of two broken families and a furtive stranger who only joins the group for the sake of self-preservation.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 premieres on April 10 on AMC.
